Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the AthletIQ service operated by AthletIQ Ltd ("AthletIQ", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance

By creating an AthletIQ account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to register an account. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. Notify us immediately at support@athletiq.coach if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

4. Licence

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use AthletIQ for your personal training, coaching, or business purposes.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to AthletIQ — including workout data, training plans, messages, wellness entries, and body metrics. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the service to you and to anyone you have explicitly shared it with (for example, your coach or a group conversation you have joined).

6. Coaching relationships

AthletIQ provides tools for personal trainers and coaches to work with athletes. Personal trainers using AthletIQ are independent professionals; AthletIQ is the platform on which the coaching takes place but is not a party to the agreement between coach and athlete. Any contractual or financial arrangement between a coach and an athlete is solely between them.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the service in violation of any law or regulation.
Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
Send spam, bulk unsolicited content, or malicious links through messaging features.
Scrape, copy, or duplicate the service or its content without our written permission.
Reverse-engineer, tamper with, or attempt to circumvent the security of the service.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

8. Subscriptions and pricing

The current AthletIQ service is free during beta. We may introduce paid plans or subscription tiers in the future. If we do, we will notify you in advance and you will not be charged without your explicit agreement to the relevant pricing terms.

9. Health and fitness disclaimer

AthletIQ is not a medical service. The information, plans, and tools provided through AthletIQ — including any training programmes, wellness check-ins, or body metric tracking — are for general fitness and personal informational purposes only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they are not a substitute for the advice of a qualified physician, physiotherapist, or other medical professional. Before starting any new training programme, changing your diet, or relying on wellness or body data for health decisions, consult a qualified professional. You exercise and use the service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AthletIQ Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you have paid AthletIQ in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (£100). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AthletIQ Ltd against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.

12. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app or by emailing support@athletiq.coach. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these terms, with notice where reasonable. We will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data before deletion in cases other than serious breach.

13. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app banner at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date of new terms constitutes acceptance of those terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service.
